Our nations need our prayers

This is the second Trumpet Call National Day of Prayer to be held at the NEC Arena. The first was based on Numbers 10: 9: “When you go into battle in your own land against an enemy who is oppressing you, sound a blast on the trumpets. Then you will be remembered by the Lord your God and rescued from your enemies.” (NIV).

The team leading the October day in 2004 was drawn from several organisations representing Christian churches across the nations. Having met again in December, the unanimous decision was that we should go back to the NEC in June 2005 to again blow a trumpet, declare God’s Word, worship Him and seek Him on behalf of our nations, that as we call on Him, He will continue to break oppression, so that the glory of Christ will be revealed across the land.

This invitation is to you and your friends to take your place to stand and pray for transformation in our nations.

This is not a one denomination event. Last October, Christians from all denominations and none joined together to pray on behalf of the nations of Britain and Ireland. This is not just for people who are known as “the pray-ers in the church”. This day is for every Christian who wants to see God’s Kingdom come in our nations as it is in Heaven and who understand that when God wants to bring change, He always gets His Church praying and worshipping.
