Malc & Penny’s Newsletter    -    December 2004

We must begin by saying a big thank you to all those of you who regularly, or from time to time, pray for us.

Among the many understatements of all time is ………………………  This year has not been particularly easy”!

Finally we get to have something in common with Posh and Becks! - an "annus horribulus"!

But God has been very, very good to us through it and in it all.

It began with the sad demise of “CARE Remand Fostering” which was not only a blow because of the intrinsic value of the scheme, but from an income point of view.

We almost immediately registered with “Foster Care Associates”, the largest fostering agency in the U K.

However it took some months to go through the approval process and with hindsight it something of a miracle that we managed financially over that time. We even managed to afford to rebuild the kitchen during that time.

In May we took delivery of Malcolm’s new pride and joy – the Toyota Lucida – which had been our dream for years.

This 8 seater opened up opportunities for Malc as he endeavours to start taking teams of young people on prayer related trips.

Mainly due to Fostering it has been very difficult for Penny to regularly attend Church this past year. This, added to questions over direction and style, meant that our attendance at LifeSpring Church tailed off early in the year and in due course we decided to formally leave. We are considering what to do in terms of a “congregational” expression of our faith.
