Malc & Penny's Trips abroad

We’ve been able to have two long weekends away together, one in France, the other in Stockholm

Stockholm is a very beautiful city, set as it is as islands amongst waterways

Short boat trips provide great views of the city

Longer trips will take you out around the archipelego with stops at authentic fishing villages

Maybe next year's Christmas Card!
Malc also got to Orebro particularly to encourage the guys who dream of Boiler Rooms there

Italy

In September we had a couple of weeks in Southern Italy, the second week with Becky.

It wasn’t the greatest time we’ve ever had, all being ill whilst away.

From a travel guide point of view, be warned, avoid southern Italy.

However it does have some charm.

The traditional "Trulli" house we stayed in was superb.

They are basically stone igloos!

The traditional Fishing Harbours are lovely
"Trulli Trulli I say unto you"
Gorgeous roofs - mostly with Christian symbols painted on them to ward off evil spirits
Sadly, being a fly drive affair, the week after we returned Penny forgot where she was and wrong-sided on the Aldermaston road. The good news was that she was fine, which is more than can be said for the poor vehicle pictured above. Yes Malc’s beloved Lucida was no more! And as always the insurance fell well short of the replacement cost.

Becky kindly bought the registration number for dad, so the new version has the same number

M146ELC – it seemed like God’s little joke at Malc always having wanted a personalised plate.

(Happily by January 2005 a replacement was acquired)
