We celebrated the wedding of  Andrew and Liz Hearn

Malc and Becky have enjoyed a couple of walks this year

This one is around the Ivinghoe area of the Cotswolds

Malc is still praying with the UK core team for the “Calling All Nations” ( Global Gathering”) event in Berlin, now postponed to the summer of 2006. This is headed by Noel Richards. Please pray for this event that has been years in the planning and is aimed at drawing youth from all over Europe and beyond.

Our prime income still comes from Fostering, so although our last four month placement was something of a nightmare, it is as much a job of work as a calling, so don’t feel too sorry for us!
Penny continues to enjoy working for First Steps in Whitley and we would like to acknowledge the support and encouragement that she receives from Vernon Orr, vicar of St Agnes and chairman of the project t.  Her unpaid work with the youth of the town continues to be truly “detached”, having no building to work from on a Saturday.

We had hoped for a town centre Boiler Room, but that was not yet to be.

Below left - is the now sad state of the Forbury vaults.

Tragic since we could have been in there for a further year had they not demolished

Having been intensely involved with 24-7 prayer almost from the beginning in Reading it was with a good deal of sadness that as of November we withdrew from the management team of the Boiler Room.

We believe it is of God, in that Malc in particular is being called to move on to new initiatives. But it is hard to lose regular prayer and fellowship with those who were such good friends and who had become very much "church" for us.

Leaving the Boiler Room does incur some financial loss, so prayer about income would be appreciated.

Malc still heads up the “Cross in Town” each Wednesday lunchtime. The team believe that this regular prayer in the centre and the prayer-walking associated with it, was instrumental in establishing the work with the town centre young people and indeed the very founding of the Boiler Room itself. We will continue as long as we still feel God wants us to.

We could really do with more support. So if you're free on a Wednesday lunchtime fro 1 till 2 - get down to Broad Street

Malc also remains a Trustee of ‘FAITH’.

Finally

Who could forget it was the year of the Passion?

Truly puts any of our little traumas into perspective.
