Malc's Defrag

October 2005

Germany

4th - 11th Oct      Southern and Eastern Germany with Martin Scott.

This was at one and the same time an interesting, fun, tiring and demanding week.  Billed originally as a Sowing Seeds week, Martin found the team dropping out one by one until it was only me left. Indeed of course what with Sarah's situation I very nearly dropped out too.  But glad I didn't.

Travelling as two Brits (always tempting to say English and consciously have to remind myself that Martin is a Scot) with a small team of Germans was a new dimension for me. It was much more like the trip to Sweden with him two years ago or so in that respect. Time to get to know Martin a bit more. Chance to be a little more involved with what was going on.

For me there is always a slight frustration on any prayer trip - that of being a photographer!  So much great architecture, so many statues and lovely landscapes.  So how does that conflict?  You can't just wander off to find the best angle when you're there to pray!

Invariably the best Cathedrals are to be "cast down"        and         the interesting statues need to be bound not photographed!

Mind you a two faced Queen of Heaven hardly gets my vote!

But a couple of craftsmen?  ( Still possibly dodgy Malc )

Martin's actual report appears here in case you don't usually get them. It is very brief and to the point . . . . . . .

I intend to send out two reports for these recent days in Germany. One an overview and a second one that is focused on our final place: Schwäbisch Gmünd. Over these days six of us travelled covering something around 1200 miles on the road.

An overview: time in Ulm. This is a place of immense battle and where battles won there will have an impact from there. There is an old saying that if you do not take Ulm you cannot take Germany. We also had an interesting time in clearing one of the houses from the effects of a suicide, and the person sleeping in that room experienced a healing overnight after the prayer for the room.

From Ulm we made two quick stops, first in Oberkochen: this is the home for the famous lens manufacturers Zeiss. A small place with enormous potential for developing new products with quick expansion. Our time here was into a couple whose main impact in the town will be through business. I am convinced that their business product will impact nations. Then from there we went to Herzogenaurach. Praying there I spoke of deep division in the land at a family dispute level: this is the town that hosts both Adidas and Puma. Originally one company and the two brothers divided. There is much work to be done in this place and the need for gatekeepers who will come in and begin to turn the battle at the gates is necessary.

Our next stop was Eishausen and area. This is part of what was East Germany and with significant history to overcome. The Count of the area would take the bride on the night of her marriage and have sex with her. We discovered that two of the daughters of leaders had been seriously impacted at age 14. One had a sever form of epilepsy, the other had literally stopped developing. I also saw many first born had been sacrificed - then when asking about how many first born were around found that so many had died prematurely, or were seriously ill etc. I am looking for a regional church across this area to develop.

Issues of the land and bloodshed were as ever present

Then we went to Großenhain (near Dresden). This was my second visit here. Last time was when we confronted Hecate (one of the main goddesses in witchcraft, with influence at crossroads, and over death and childbirth) without realising it and ended in some serious problems that the Lord got us out of. So I was keen to get back here. Thankfully there has been a significant binding of her powers which was evidenced by the shift in the accidents at the ancient crossroads. This church now has the run of the former civic centre in town, which is one of the most prominent buildings. Given the wall came down just 16 years ago this is indeed a significant indication of the shift. It was very encouraging to be here, and there was a sweet release of the prophetic for people. I see a significant release of youth across this area, a lot of mission going out and also start up businesses being incubated in the building.

From there we went to Schwäbisch Gmünd and I will send out a separate report on this as it contains personal history as well.

Martin

What he does not of course relate is all the detail, conversations, odd incidents, running jokes and other fun stuff that occur in the middle of all the deadly serious matters.

One picture I just have to include is what I can only imagine is Adam and Eve

My take is that Adam is saying . . . .

" It's no good trying to shift the blame, you ate it "

Meanwhile I came back to a few issues. Seriously of course the court decision to have Sarah's daughter adopted.  Then Paddy the dog, full of beans and untiring, and a dodgy internet connection!

And if that wasn't amusing enough for you

Ladies of a somewhat sheltered upbringing may not wish to scroll down at all

&

will probably need to pray for discernment to fully understand

Achtung

You have been warned

And speaking of inside jokes . . . . . What was that about City Shifting again?
